
Today I got the bus to the north of the city, but there was not much up there, so I came back to look at the Picasso’s in the Museo de Arte del Banco de la Republica. These Picasso’s are great, as well as George Braque, Juan Miro, and Max Ernst (below). The Picasso’s are from late in his life, when his painting got to the point where it is very loose – some people say sloppy – but when your standing in front of them, it still feels like they are still drying after just being painted, 48 years later :
The rest of the day I looked for Magic Soap. I had almost given up the other day after walking about some not great areas (even at 10 in the morning) and not finding the stores that were pointed out there on google maps. However, I found a street with four esoteric stores, and a street stall selling everything you need to fix things in life using supernatural forces – Bogotá has Magic Soap. The place you need to go is Calle 10, just off from Carrera 10:
